About the Days of Statistics

Each year since 1970, the “Journées de Statistique” (JdS) are organized by the French Statistical Society (SFdS). This conference usually gathers more than 400 participants from academia, research institutions and private companies. It can be considered as the most important French-language scientific event.

Since the creation of this conference, it has been held in France (Bordeaux 2009, Marseille 2010, Toulouse 2013, Montpellier 2016), but also in Belgium (Bruxelles 1982, 1992 and 2012, Bruxelles and Louvain-la-Neuve 2002), in Tunisia (Tunis 2011), in Canada (Québec 1996, Ottawa 2008), in Maroc (Fès 2000) and in Switzerland (Lausanne 1987, Neuchâtel 1994).
